Picture this: Two beautiful women with flowing tresses, legs for days and personality to boot. Oh, wait! Such a pair exists, and that’d be Swift and model Karlie Kloss. So picturesque is the relationship of these two that Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour decided to feature both on the March 2015 cover. A behind-the-scenes video from the shoot playing “The Best, Best Friends Game” puts the icing on the cake with talking, staring, drawing and arm-wrestling contests. Karlie 2, Taylor 2. We’ll call it even — as it should be.

We know, you want to be part of Taylor Swift’s squad. The parties, the chance to appear in her social media feed. How’s this? Just pretend you were one of the extras in her “Bad Blood” video, and no one will notice. But for real, here we rewind and look at Swift’s best gal pals.

Lady Gaga totally cast “a magical spell” on Swift, because Swift claims it brought her true love … in the form of current beau DJ Calvin Harris. While Gaga was glowing amid her engagement to actor Taylor Kinney and her surprise performance at the 2015 Academy Awards, Swift tweeted that Gaga “is really living now.” Gaga replied saying Swift’s Knight in Shining Armor was just around the corner, and, boy, did he arrive sooner than Swift thought.

When you get a chance to be special guests on select shows during Swift’s 1989 World Tour, um, yeah, you’re like this with the blond singer. Such is the case for the L.A.-based Haim sisters – Este, Danielle and Alana. Only helps that the trio appears on Swift’s social media feeds several times, be it on a boat, in the water or on a tree.

A kiss seals the deal for musician-istas Swift and Ellie Goulding. In this case, when Swift received her first-ever BRIT Award, she gave Goulding a smooch after she presented her with the accolade. Now, even though Goulding dated Swift’s boyfriend Calvin Harris, there is no “Bad Blood” between the two.

“She’s my friend who’s a mom, you know?” That’s what Swift has to say about her pal Jamie King. In the realm of moms, King asked Swift to be the godmother to her second child. “[Taylor’s] thoughtfulness, her kindness, her authenticity ... is so powerful to me,” King says. The proof? Swift threw King a decadent baby shower before baby arrived.
