Snooki baptizes baby Lorenzo, plans to write pregnancy book
Snooki and fiance Jionni LaValle baptized their son on Palm Sunday and her partner in crime JWoww served as the little guy’s godmother.
“Lorenzo is finally baptized! He did so good #proudparents,†she tweeted Sunday.
Snooki, 25, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, posted several pics of the fete on Instagram over the weekend. The “Snooki & JWoww†star and “proud mommy†was beyond eager to share her little guy’s christening celebration
“Proud parents today,†the petite reality star posted with a pic of herself and LaValle dressed in their Sunday best.

Snooki showed off her post-baby body in a bright blue gown and took several selfies. Because that’s what you do when you shed nearly a third of your body weight. She did not post any actual photos of the ceremony itself, nor did she indicate where the event took place. But she did announce that her “Jersey Shore†castmate Jenni “JWoww†Farley was the godmother with a pic of them together. JWoww attended with fiance Roger Mathews, whom she met while filming their reality series.
“My precious godbaby,†Farley wrote on Instagram, posting a photo of Snooki’s party favor that had “Lorenzo Dominic LaValle†inscribed on the favor’s ribbon. The new godmother also shared a picture of herself feeding her “chubby monkey†godson, captioned “My love <3.â€
Snooki, always the center of attention, strolled around the decked-out reception in platforms pushing her 7-month-old son’s stroller.
“Walkin my baby around his party in style,†she wrote.
QUIZ: Test your ‘Jersey Shore’ vocabulary
On Monday, Snooki hit CNN to talk about Lorenzo and promote her upcoming pregnancy book. Yes, the self-proclaimed meatball, who penned “A Shore Thing,†“Confessions of a Guidette†and “Gorilla Beach,†is writing a book for expectant mothers.
She now prefers being called by her real name, Nicole, and is working hard to change her hard-partying, bar-fighting image. When asked on CNN’s “Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien†Monday how she’s transforming her old antic-filled brand to a more wholesome and business-savvy image, the reality star gave a pretty grown-up answer.
“I just explain it like this, I was 21 when the show came out. So basically, I was just growing up,†she said. “I did crazy stuff when I was 21, you know, drinking, having the time of my life. And now to where I’m settled down — 25 years old, I have a child — I couldn’t be any happier. I love being a mom.â€
She also said she knew it was “inevitable†that her son would see reruns of her show but prefers that he not watch them until he’s at least 16.
Till then, she’s working on her book, clothing line and hopefully more seasons of “Snooki & JWoww†because, she said, “I love to show the not-drinking side of me.†And in case you’re wondering, she and her fiance are still living in her future in-laws’ basement until their house is done being built.
