Lady Gaga asks fans to ‘root us on’ while she and Taylor Kinney are ‘taking a break’
Is there still hope for this pretty partnership? Lady Gaga says she and Taylor Kinney have been “taking a break†from each other but are still in love.
“Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,†the singer, 30, wrote on Instagram late Tuesday after news of their split went public.
“We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared,†she said.
Yeah, the sources talking to a few outlets Tuesday did say the distance thing had been a problem for the two.
"She's working on an album, he's working on his show, they aren't in the same state, it was just hard," a source told People on Tuesday. Kinney, 35, works on “Chicago Fire†in, unsurprisingly, Chicago.
Kinney and his lady, real name Stefanie Germanotta, met five years ago while working on her sexy video for “You and I.†He proposed on Valentine's Day 2015, but in recent weeks they haven’t been photographed together and she’s been out there sans engagement ring.
“Please root us on,†the singer wrote Tuesday. “We're just like everybody else and we really love each other.â€
In her post, Gaga also included a black-and-white, shot-from-behind, hangin’-with-my-boo-lookin’-all-cool photo — taken backstage somewhere — that’s way cooler than 99.9% of what “everybody else†could ever dream of having in a photo album. That alone could inspire fans to root for them and their relationship, in the simple hope of one day seeing another pic like that to pin on inspiration boards everywhere.
