Kardashian-Humphries divorce: Trial date set — finally
Is there a finale in sight for the seemingly never-ending Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries divorce? A judge on Friday finally set a trial date for May 6.
Team Kardashian had been pushing for next month, according to TMZ, but there was no room on the calendar until May. Kim’s child with Kanye West is due in July.
The divorce has been brewing since October 2011, when Kardashian filed to end her marriage to Brooklyn Nets player Humphries after only 72 days. It’s been held up as Team Humphries makes the argument for an annulment, which would have to be granted on grounds of fraud — something the other side isn’t about to admit.

In another wrinkle in the case, one of Humphries’ lawyers took his toys and went home Thursday, citing an “irremediable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship†in papers filed with the court, TMZ said. Sources told the website that Marshall Waller saw no merit in the argument for an annulment, something Humphries and his other attorney, Lee Hutton, aren’t budging on. Now Humphries will have to find another attorney who can practice in California, or Minneapolis-based Hutton will have to get approved to do so.
Meanwhile, Kardashian and her baby daddy boyfriend spent Valentine’s Day dining at Lawry’s The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills, according to E! News, with Miz Kim later posting a picture of a blingy new Cartier bracelet with the caption, “My new pet panther!â€
The Cartier bauble is worth an estimated $68,000 to $73,000, according to Us Weekly.
