Kim Kardashian debuts blond ‘Cindy Crawford-esque’ hair
Kim Kardashian has some blond ambition, circa 1980-something. The new mom has dyed her hair a lighter hue.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians†star debuted the shorter, layered look over Labor Day weekend when she was photographed going to a friend’s barbecue in Beverly Hills. A concealed baby North was in tow, and the new mom was followed closely by elder sister Kourtney Kardashian, according to E! News.
The new ‘do is golden toward the ends, a bit darker toward the roots and totally Kanye-approved, according to Kardashian’s hair squad.

“He loves it. He was a big cheerleader for her to go blond,†her colorist George Papanikolas said.
Kardashian, 32, has kept a low profile since the June 15 birth of her daughter with Kanye West, but has expressed desires (via her reality show) that she wants to be “cool again.â€
The brunet fashionista has experimented with lighter tresses in the past. In 2009 and 2012, she went lighter. About five months ago, while she was still pregnant, she posted a throwback photo on Instagram stating that she was, “Missing my blonde.â€
Apparently, Kardashian has been wanting to lighten up for a long time.
“I brought up her length and layered it around her face to grow her bangs out,†her stylist Chris McMilian told E! “The swooped up-and-over bang is kind of what we’re doing with her too -- very ‘80s-ish. It’s a bit asymmetrical [and] Cindy Crawford-esque. The color only helps make that more amazing.â€
And perhaps another way to distract people from her baby weight?
