Report: Kate Middleton wants mum Carole to be royal nanny
Kate Middleton might break with tradition yet again: She’s reportedly planning to ask her mother to be the royal nanny.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, may want to move her mother, Carole, 57, into Kensington Palace rather than have a professional take care of her child with Prince Williiam.
“Kate and William are both pretty terrified about the rest of the pregnancy after the hyperemesis,†said Middleton’s old schoolmate Jessica Hay, according to the UK’s Mirror.
(Prince William’s wife, 31, was hospitalized last December with severe morning sickness, which is how the palace made the official baby announcement in the first place. The royal tot is due in July.)
“Carole may even move in with them when the baby’s born so they don’t have to rely on a nanny.â€
Seems like a scandal fit for “Downton Abbeyâ€!
“But all in all Catherine’s very happy. With so much family around her and William, they’re starting to enjoy the pregnancy after such a traumatic start,†Hay said.
Middleton’s mother, a former British Airways flight attendant, launched her own party-planning business from their home in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
Olga Powell, nanny to princes William and Harry, died in September at age 82.
