Justin Bieber invokes Michael Jackson; Scooter Braun tweets
Wondering where the grown-ups are in Justin Bieber’s life? Well, his dad was with him Thursday, but in the wake of the singer’s arrest on suspicion of DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license in Miami, manager Scooter Braun has briefly commented.
“Been a long day,†Braun said on Twitter late Thursday. “Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad.â€
Previously, he’d addressed a tweet directly to 19-year-old Bieber: “@justinbieber love you and i will act in the manner of someone who truly cares. that is all I have to say. thanks for all those concerned.â€
Braun, 38, discovered Bieber on YouTube and has been with him since the beginning.
Bieber, meanwhile, took to social media as well, posting a side-by-side shot on Instagram of him on one side, sitting atop a black SUV on Thursday waving to fans after being released from jail, and Michael Jackson on the other side, standing on a vehicle and waving to his fans after pleading not guilty to charges in his 2004 child-abuse trial.
He captioned the shot, “What more can they say,†followed by a crown.
Bieber also reportedly refused to get on a private jet bound for his L.A.-area home -- and a possible rehab push from his team -- according to the Daily Mail.
“The private plane was on standby all day,†a source told MailOnline. “It was really disappointing that he never got on it..â€
Bieber chose to stay where the party has been, in Miami.
