Jordan Rodgers, winner of ‘The Bachelorette,’ again accused of infidelity by ex-girlfriend
When all is said and done, Jordan Rodgers may have ended up with the final rose on ABC’s hit reality series “The Bachelorette†but it was his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Farrar, who had the receipts.
Thursday night, Farrar, a personal trainer from Nashville, took to her Instagram account to post two separate posts debunking the idea that Rodgers was faithful during their relationship, a claim the reality show star has touted repeatedly, both on the show and off.
It’s an issue that was first raised by Rodgers’ ex-girlfriend after the first episode of his season of “The Bachelorette†aired, when she posted a gif to her account with a caption reading, “Riding the bench doesn't get in the way of a relationship, but cheating does,†as well as a rose emoji.
Farrar even went so far as to tag Rodgers and the official “Bachelorette†account in the comment, leaving no doubt as to who she was dragging, as well as affixing a number of hashtags to the post, including #yourpitchisntperfect, a sick burn in and of itself, but one that will become more relevant later.

While Rodgers continues to contend that he was faithful to Farrar and that their relationship ended because of his (failed) pursuit at a football career, a field at which he was (rightfully) overshadowed by his older brother, Super Bowl MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Farrar insisted that Rodgers was unfaithful and Thursday night, she shared what she believed to be proof.
But first, she wanted to explain herself.
In a lengthy post, which included the gem that, in the aftermath of their breakup, Rodgers gave her the ultimatum, “Give me another chance or I want my mattress and the chia I bought back.â€
Let’s take a moment and marvel at the nature of said ultimatum and why it is hilarious.
While, on first read, one might assume that it’s the fact that Rodgers is dead set on getting his chia back, it’s actually his fixation on his mattress that’s the most delightful, for one specific reason.
During Rodgers and fiancee JoJo Fletcher’s stilted appearance on the “After the Final Rose†episode of “The Bachelorette,†Fletcher explained to host Chris Harrison that the two would soon be moving in together in Dallas but that first they would need to stop over in Nashville—
“To pick up my bed!†Rodgers exclaimed, repeatedly, speaking over his bride-to-be.
Jordan Rodgers loves his bed so much, you guys. Almost as much as he loves chia.
Farrar’s post spoke at length about how Rodgers’ press tour in the wake of “The Bachelorette†has caused rumors to be spread and her family and friends to be approached by mutual acquaintances looking for clarification.
Unlike Rodgers, Farrar writes, she can “afford to leave some chia behind†and was interested in clearing the air for once and for all in the interest of proving her version of history and not just to sell magazines.
In a post she has since deleted, Farrar then went on to explain she suspected that Rodgers was unfaithful during their relationship while filming “Pitch Perfect 2.†(Remember #yourpitchisntperfect? Nailed it.)
Her proof? A receipt for flowers purchased by Rodgers with a message that read, “Happy Birthday To My Favorite Bella. Miss You. Can't Wait To See That Beautiful Smile Again. From, Your Favorite Football Player Wanna Be Actor.â€
Farrar also included text messages between Rodgers and herself, to prove that they were still in a relationship at the time.
Included in the text of her post, Farrar wrote, “Jordan, you dragged our relationship into the spotlight, and then challenged my honesty and character. If you weren't ready to be truthful about your life then you shouldn't have gone on a reality show. And if you don't like having your integrity questioned, you shouldn't have lied about someone who's parents always taught her to stand up for herself.â€
While the trainer has since deleted the post, the Internet is forever and her words were already screencapped by savvy social media users.
As interesting as all of these revelations are (which is to say, mildly interesting) there are two key questions fans are left pondering after Farrar’s Thursday night Instagram dump.
1. Which of the Barden Bellas, as featured in “Pitch Perfect 2,†received that lucky bouquet of birthday blooms?
Answer: Unclear.
2. Has there ever been a more awkward text message sent than, “Day 8: when you do your “meow†and I growl and chase you like a zombie. Us being us :)â€
Answer: No. No, there has not.
A representative for Jordan Rodgers did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday morning.
