Eva Longoria, Ernesto Arguello are splitsville after four months
Eva Longoria and Ernesto Arguello have kept it sweet but short, reportedly breaking up after only four months together.
Distance was the culprit, according to TMZ, which first reported the breakup. Both are busy (she operates primarily out of L.A. while he’s a Miami boy), so they decided to call it quits.
But is it forever?
A source tells the website that they may just be “on hold right now†— meaning there’s a chance they’ll be “Ready for Love†again in the future. After all, a source did tell People back in June that there was a chance the two would be married within a year, noting that “Eva is a firm believer in marriage.â€
“Ernie may be a player when he is single,†the source told the mag at the time, “but he’s never cheated on anyone and is very religious. I think the fact that he’s so family-oriented is what got her.â€
The couple met, of course, on this year’s short-lived reality dating show “Ready for Love,†which the “Desperate Housewives†alum exec produced. He was a contestant on the series, which was shot in 2012 and lasted only three episodes on television, finishing out its run online.
Things didn’t work out for Arguello, 34, and his “RFL†pick, and their relationship ended last year. Longoria, 38, initially denied a relationship beyond friendship, but the couple eventually changed their tune.
“Happy to share NOW that it’s true! Couldn’t be happier...,†Longoria tweeted as People published the news. He tweeted his agreement, and she crowed to the mag that the best thing about their relationship was that they truly were friends first.
This one doesn’t sound like an unfriendly breakup, and hey, she has met his family. So, stay tuned?
