Drew Barrymore: New mom keeps pizza tradition alive for baby Olive
Drew Barrymore has always been open about her, shall we say, unique childhood.
That shouldn’t suggest there aren’t traditions worth passing on to her and husband Will Kopelman’s baby girl Olive.
In one of her few post-birth sightings, the actress and Kopelman hit revamped L.A. institution Spago for lunch last Thursday -- and a little slice of Barrymore history.
“She’s been coming in since the ‘E.T.’ days with her mom, for Wolfgang’s pizza,†a source told us of owner and executive chef Puck’s signature dish. The couple shared photos of their new bundle when Puck visited their table.
Pizza might be in the family fabric, but for the duration of her pregnancy Drew was all about another notorious guilty pleasure.
“I loved cheeseburgers,†she told People magazine of her cravings. “I wanted nothing to do with vegetables.â€
While Drew busies herself with motherhood, production company Flower Films and an upcoming beauty collaboration with Wal-Mart, she’s looking to install a new tradition as well.
“I can’t wait to pick her up from school -- just being in the line of cars when she gets out,†Barrymore said of Olive’s later years.
“I want her to live a life where she knows we will be there. That is everything to me. That is what I wanted most when I was a kid, and it’s what my kid will have.â€
