Oh, poodle! Debra Messing and Eric McCormack got together earlier this week for a little “Will & Grace†reunion.

Be still, our codependent comedy-loving hearts!

The NBC comedy alum and real-life friends met up and posed together for a photo op on the red carpet Monday at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood. They were there to attend an event honoring legendary TV director James Burrows, who helmed the Emmy-nominated laugher about a woman and her gay best friend during its run from 1998 to 2006, in addition to “Taxi,†“Cheers,†“Friends,†“Frasier, “The Big Bang Theory,†“Mike & Molly†and CBS’ new comedy “The Millers.†The actors also met up with costar Megan Mullally in the venue.

“The few times we have [gotten together] in New York, it’s usually just [Debra] and I having dinner, and we don’t even make a reservation,†50-year-old McCormack, who played straitlaced gay attorney Will Truman on the show, told Us Weekly. “We just kind of walk in, and there’s always at least one waiter kind of dropping something, going, ‘Am I on TV? Is this real?’â€

McCormack is currently starring in TNT’s crime drama “Perception†with Rachel Leigh Cook. As for Messing, who played his overly attached best friend Grace Adler, she went on to star in the now canceled Broadway-focused drama “Smash.†She’ll next appear on Broadway costarring in “Outside Mullingar,†a romantic comedy from writer John Patrick Shanley, according to CBS News.

Sean Hayes, who just debuted his new family-oriented comedy “Sean Saves the World,†was not in attendance, though his former costars were open to the idea of having cameos on his new show.

“He can call us!†McCormack added.

Messing also seemed open to the idea of doing an official reunion, telling the Daily Mail, “I never say never. That’s what I’ve learned.â€

Jennifer Aniston, Bob Newhart, Danny DeVito, Christopher Lloyd, Chuck Lorre, Margo Martindale, Beau Bridges, Warren Littlefield, Billy Gardell, Jay Sandrich and Rhea Perlman were also in attendance to honor Burrows, who directed them on separate occasions, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
