Bob Saget has mini-’Full House’ reunion at research benefit
Bob Saget, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin had a mini-â€Full House†Tanner family reunion at a research benefit Tuesday.
The “TGIF†fixtures attended the Cool Comedy - Hot Cuisine event to benefit scleroderma research at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire. Saget, who hosted the event, is a Scleroderma Research Foundation member. The actor-comedian lost his sister to the autoimmune disease, which literally means “hard skin†and affects internal organs.
Cameron Bure, 37, and Sweetin, 31, played two of Saget’s three sitcom daughters, DJ and Stephanie Tanner, respectively, in their early years. The well-polished stars arrived at the event fashionably late and were among the last stars to walk the red carpet. (In the words of their younger TV sister Michelle Tanner: You’re in big trouble, mister!)

The twosome happily took to their Twitter accounts to mark the occasion.
“Me, @candacecbure and @bobsaget at the Annual SRF gala. A fun night for a great cause! #fullhousefamily,†Sweetin wrote Tuesday, posting a snapshop of the trio.
“Pics from last night’s Schleroderma Research Benefit with my TV family: @bobsaget @JodieTweetin & hubby @valbure,†Cameron Bure added. “Love this pic of us†she wrote, posting a photo similar to the one you see above.
The show, which aired from 1987 to 1995, also starred John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Alas, none of them were at the charity event.
But the attendees included late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Ferguson, actor-comedians Jack Black, Dane Cook and Bill Bellamy, “Entourage’s†Jerry Ferrara and “How I Met Your Mother’s†Josh Radnor and Cobie Smulders. The chefs included L.A.’s Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken from Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters.†Singer Michael Bolton performed.
Aside from scleroderma, Saget opened up about something else that played a major role in his life: His “Full House†family, to which he played wholesome patriarch Danny Tanner -- a character totally different from Saget’s raunchy comedy persona. Unfortunately, he said the chances of the sitcom’s reunion were pretty slim.

“We hang out sometimes. I get to see them when we can,†he told Us Weekly. “We all love each other. I just don’t think that that’s … it’s kind of low on the possibilities.â€
Awwww, nuts! Well, here’s hoping for a “Boy Meets Worldâ€-esque spin-off.
