Beyonce bobs her hair? A new week, a new look
Beyonce has a bob, which would be big hair news even if she hadn’t chopped off her long locks last week and gone for a petite blond pixie ‘do.
But she did just chop off her hair a week ago Wednesday. So why the quick turnaround, Bey, after having the long hair for so long?
We suppose it’s always easier to take that leap the second time you do it.
Stepping out in Miami for a lunch date with Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy, the “Single Ladies†singer sported a reverse bob, chin length in the front and short-short-short in the back — held in place with a Greek goddess-style headband.
Now, barring the possibility that Beyonce is so talented she can cause her hair to grow mightily on command, extensions, or perhaps a wig, are involved.
Stylist Kim Kimble’s head must be spinning, after she got emotional over the first change of pace.
“I got a little teary eyed!,†Kimble told People about the pixie, which Beyonce flaunted on Instagram. “I’ve been working for her so long, she has this beautiful long hair and it’s hard to grow hair out. I feel like it’s my hair, I work so much with her. I feel a little emotional but excited for her too. Maybe I’ll cut my hair off now. Short hair, don’t care!â€
At least she stuck with the blond, which colorist Rita Hazan reportedly worked for hours to deliver. “I think it is sexy, strong, a statement, empowering,†Hazan told E! News.
“She always had beautiful, gorgeous tons of hair and for her to strip down and reveal herself this way is a very powerful moment.â€
