Amanda Bynes posts sketch of herself on cleaned-up Twitter feed

On Twitter, Amanda Bynes has put a new face forward -- her own.

The actress on Monday posted what appears to be a self portrait on her recently cleaned-up account. She has deleted years’ worth of tweets and changed her bio to read simply: “Fashion student.â€

Also recently new: her bio picture, which is now a normal shot of Bynes looking, well, normal. Like the old Amanda. No blue hair, no weird selfies.

“New sketch ~ FYI This is my only twitter account, I have no secret twitter accounts. Xoxo Amanda,†she wrote Monday.

Bynes appears to be creating a fresh start for herself online after seeking help for mental health issues in the wake of a meltdown that culminated in July 2013 with the “She’s the Man†actress lighting a small fire in the driveway of a Thousand Oaks home. She was released from care in December and has been staying with her parents.

Bynes had previously reached out to fans via Twitter on March 1 with the message: “Hi everyone! I’m busy studying at @FIDM but I want to say I love you to my fans! Xoxo Amanda.â€

The Twitter cleanup is probably a good sign. Last week, word had leaked that she was embarrassed by things she’d posted previously, specifically a notoriously raunchy tweet addressed to singer Drake. Now that and other untoward tweets are for the most part gone.

Though screen grabs do live forever.
