Adam Levine broke 3-year-old Mila’s heart — and she’s not giving him a second chance
Adam Levine wanted to be friends, but 3-year-old Mila was having none of it — and all we can say is, you go, little girl. If the love of your life has gotten married and it’s not to you, it’s time to move on.
Mila is the little girl whose reaction to learning the Maroon 5 frontman was married went viral earlier this month. And Ellen DeGeneres is the one who brought the star-crossed couple together face to face on her show Friday.
Mila’s mom, Emily, started the whole drama, which was captured on video shot in the family car, by telling her daughter, “I don’t want you to be too sad, but I wanted to tell you: Adam Levine got married. He did.â€
“Nooooo! Nooooo, Mommy!†Mila wailed immediately from her car seat, dissolving into tears and clapping her hands down on her knees in disgust. “No, he didn’t, Mommy. Mommy, he didn’t.â€
Few things hurt like finding out your boyfriend has been two-timing you.
The cad apparently managed to keep his marital status secret from his little girlfriend for quite a while too: Levine and model Behati Prinsloo tied the knot way back in July 2014. The woman is always the last to know ...
“So you’ve been wanting to marry Adam for a long time?†DeGeneres asked the tot. “He’s like, your boyfriend? Have you ever talked to him?â€
Mila’s answers: “Yes. Yes. Ummmmm, no.â€
The host assured her that if they were boyfriend and girlfriend, they would probably speak at some point. And that if he ever met her, he would love her too.
At which point — well, a cute Adam Levine-themed outfit was gifted to Mila first — DeGeneres brought out the real live Levine.
Mila, however, was not interested when the pop star picked her up, and headed straight back to her mommy’s arms. As Levine said, she was “over it.â€
Seems that he’d been sent the video by “every person that I know in my entire life,†including his wife and his mother. It was “kind of heartbreaking,†he said with a chuckle, “but so unbelievably cute.â€
Alas, Mila wasn’t about to give him a second chance, especially not on national TV. And good for her!
What’s that quote? “No boy is worth crying over. And the one who is won’t make you cry.â€
