Compared with outsize former costar Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer of “Two and a Half Men†seems like a pretty mild-mannered guy. But that hasn’t stopped some outspoken fans from letting him have it, the actor said at a recent Envelope Emmy Roundtable.

“People do get mad, yeah, occasionally,†Cryer told Times television critic Mary McNamara and fellow panelists Matt LeBlanc (“Episodesâ€), Mindy Kaling (“The Mindy Projectâ€), Jake Johnson (“New Girlâ€) and Don Cheadle (“House of Liesâ€).

“This is the biggest load of crap I’ve ever heard!†Kaling interjected. “You’re the most likable person in the world.â€

“Some people are mad that Charlie’s not on the show anymore, and they take it out on me,†Cryer said, referring to Sheen’s firing in 2011. Cryer added, “I don’t know what they expect. I am viewed as somehow disloyal, even though I get along great with the guy.â€

LeBlanc then deadpanned, “Did something happen with Charlie?â€

Asked about his own approach to dealing with angry fans, LeBlanc said, “I try not to pay too much attention. Sometimes people stop you and say something, and it’s kind of hard to ignore that.†He then added a resigned chuckle and a sample barb.
