SAG Awards 2013: Nominees leaked online before announcement
Enterprising Web sleuths were able to find the nominees for the Screen Actors Guild Awards online before the Hollywood union officially announced them Wednesday morning.
In a glitch first revealed by users of the forums of the Oscar blog Awards Daily, the SAG Awards website had posted the nominees in its various categories hours before Taye Diggs and Busy Philipps announced them live on TV and on the Web at 6 a.m. PST.
A full list of the nominees was not posted in one place, but anyone searching the SAG Awards’ website for, say, “Argo†at 4 a.m. PST was able to see that the Ben Affleck film would be nominated for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture alongside “Les Miserables,†“Lincoln,†“Silver Linings Playbook†and “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.†Similarly, a search on actor names turned up the nominees.

At about 5:30 a.m. PST, A.V. Club TV editor Todd VanDerWerff (@tvoti) began began tweeting the nominees for the various categories out to his more than 13,000 followers.
“It’s entirely possible those are fake,†VanDerWeff tweeted. “But they’re just awful enough to be real, and hilarious if they are.â€
All of the categories turned out to be right.
