“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.†is looking less heroic. According to early numbers from Nielsen, Tuesday night’s episode on ABC fell 12% from last week in the adults 18-49 demographic, the category most coveted by advertisers, to a 2.2, its lowest rating yet. It drew an average of 6.62 million viewers overall.

However, ABC’s freshman comedies appeared to be drawing more of those key young adults, as “The Goldbergs†increased 13% to a 1.7 and “Trophy Wife†rose 9% to a 1.2. In 18-49, a ratings point equals roughly 1.3 million viewers.

NBC narrowly won another Tuesday night in the demo as “The Voice†held steady with last week’s 3.4 rating. The singing contest, now in full live-competition mode for the second week, drew 11.4 million viewers overall. After last week’s surprise elimination of “American Idol†alum Ruben Studdard, “The Biggest Loser†fell 10% to a 1.9. At 10 p.m., “Chicago Fire†returned with a 2.2, up 5% from its most recent original episode, which aired last month.

NBC finished prime time with a 2.5 rating in 18-49, barely beating its closest competitor, CBS, which drew a 2.4 and had the biggest total audience with an average of nearly 15.5 million.

On CBS, “NCIS†and “NCIS: Los Angeles†were both flat with last week’s ratings (2.9 and 2.4, respectively), while “Person of Interest†ticked up to a 2.0.

Fox’s comedy lineup was looking stronger last week in its post-World Series return, but this week wasn’t so hot. “Dads†fell to its lowest rating ever (1.2), and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine†tied its series low of 1.4. “New Girl†fell 15% to a 1.7, while “Mindy Project†dropped 13% to a 1.3.

On the CW, “The Originals†(1.1) and “Supernatural†(1.0) both rose week-to-week.
