Perrier pays homage to Andy Warhol with new bottle designs
Though not nearly as famous as his Campbell’s soup cans or his Brillo boxes, Andy Warhol’s Perrier screen prints created in the ‘80s helped to elevate the sparkling-water brand into the realm of post-modern chic. This summer, the French company is repaying the favor by issuing a limited series of bottles that pay tribute to Warhol’s designs.
The new Perrier bottles will feature four different label designs that are inspired by Warhol’s prints. Some of the bottles also will feature famous quotes from the artist, such as “In the future everyone will be world famous for fifteen minutes†and “Art is what you can get away with.â€
The sparkling-water company said that the limited-edition bottles will be available for purchase starting June 24 wherever Perrier is sold.

The launch of the bottles coincides with Perrier’s 150th anniversary as well as the 30 years since the artist created the prints in 1983.
Perrier is debuting the new bottles in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation, which oversees all licensing of the artist’s work for commercial purposes.
As part of the launch, Perrier is also holding a sweepstakes to give away an original Warhol screen print, “Space Fruit: Lemons†from 1978. The sweepstakes is scheduled to run from June 24 to Sept. 30.
Perrier is owned by Nestle, which has its headquarters in Switzerland.
