Bad Bunny wins Artist of the Year

The big winner of the night turned out to be the biggest name in Latin music.

Bad Bunny, who returned to Billboard Latin Music Awards for the first time in years, won the marquee award of the night, taking home the Artist of the Year.

“Since I was little I had a dream that Latin music would be the most popular in the world,†said Bad Bunny, who won three awards on the night.

Manuel Turizo wins for Song of the Year, Latin Airplay

Colombian singer Manuel Turizo is becoming the surprise winner of the night after his second win for his hit song “La Bachataâ€.

Turizo also won Global 200 Song of the Year for “La Bachata†and now has two wins to tie with Peso Pluma and Bad Bunny for most awards so far.

Grupo Frontera received their first award of the night winning the Hot Latin Songs, Artist of the Year, Duo or Group.

“Thanks to God for giving us the opportunity to be here tonight,†said lead singer of Grupo Frontera, Adelaido “Payo†Solís.

Peso Pluma wins Debut Artist of the Year

Peso Pluma won his second award of the night by taking home the Debut Artist of the Year Award.

His two awards ties him with Bad Bunny for the lead so far tonight. He beat out Grupo Frontera and Chino Pacas.

“Thank you to all my fans for letting celebrate this award tonightâ€, said Peso Pluma. “Arriba Mexico otra vez.â€

Bad Bunny wins Global 200 Artist of the Year

Bad Bunny won his second award of the night in the Global 200 Artist of the Year category, which is based on total streams in Latin America and the United States.

After taking home the award for Song of the Year, Bad Bunny was taken by surprise with the award as he was changing for his performance later in the night.

“I’ll see everyone later tonight,†said Bad Bunny, who topped Peso Pluma and Karol G for the award.

Manuel Turizo wins Global 200 Song of the Year for “La Bachataâ€

Manuel Turizo pulled off a surprise by beating out big names like Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma to win the Global 200 Song of the Year, based on number of streams in Latin America and the United States.

Turizo’s “La Bachata†took home the award in the category that also included “Ella Baila Sola†from Eslabón Armado and Peso Pluma and “Titi me Preguntó†from Bad Bunny.

Karol G wins Top Latin Album of the Year

Colombian superstar Karol G took home her first award of the night with a win for Top Latin Album of the Year for her record “Mañana Será Bonitaâ€.

“I’m super happy and I think with the awards now and I win them and it’s great and this award is special because it’s for the whole album. Thanks to all producers and composer that work with me and don’t forget mañana será bonita,†said Karol G, who has been nominated for 13 awards.

Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma open with early wins

Bad Bunny is off to a quick start by winning the first award of the night - Song of the Year - for “Titi Me Preguntóâ€.

“Thank you for all the fans that supported this song and this album and all who support Latin music,†said Bad Bunny, who is nominated for 14 awards. “Thanks from heart to all who opened the door for meâ€.

The second award of the night went to Eslabón Armado and Peso Pluma for “Ella Baila Sola†in the category of Hot Latin Song of the Year.

“This if for Mexico!†shouted Peso Pluma, who has 21 nominations tonight.

Peso Pluma wants to collaborate with Bad Bunny

During the pre-show for the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2023, Mexican regional star Peso Pluma was asked about who his dream collaborator would be.

His response was the biggest name in Latin music - Bad Bunny.

“Benito 100%,†said Peso Pluma. “I got to meet him at Coachella and there are a lot of great things that can come out of it.â€

Peso Pluma is the artist with the most nominations with 21 after a summer where he shot to the top of most streaming platform charts.

“I super happy for all the support we’ve received and it’s a dream to be with some of the acts that I’ve always dreamed of being next toâ€.

AAfter announcing the nominations for the 2023 Premios Billboard this summer, everything is set for tonight’s show in Miami.

Who are the most nominated acts?

This year’s revelation in Latin music, Peso Pluma, heads the list of artists with 21 nominations in the 48 categories that will be given out at the Premios Billboard. Peso Pluma was named a finalist for Artist of the Year, Composer of the Year, Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album of the year for his work on “Genesis.
