In “Temple Run 2†players control a running character who has to jump, slide, turn, swing down a rope and drive a mine cart for as long as they can so they can get the highest score possible. The game is free to download, but users can make in-app purchases to buy upgrades for their characters and the game.

The game launched Jan. 17 on the Apple App Store and was among the top free apps in less than 24 hours. A week later it launched in the Google Play store as well as Amazon.com’s Appstore.
