Apple’s iOS 6 is supported by second- and third-generation iPads, fourth- and fifth-generation iPod Touches, and the iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S and, of course, the 5. You can read more about what devices support which features in this report.
Among the new features: it allows Siri voice commands to work on the third-generation iPad and the new iPod Touch; it integrates Facebook into the operating system; and a new app called PassBook can digitally store flight boarding passes, movie tickets and other items.
And iOS 6 will include Apple’s new Maps app, which replaces Google Maps for navigation. It includes voice turn-by-turn navigation and a feature called Flyover, which will show you some cities and landmarks in 3-D.
