Manufacturing issue causing battery problems in some iPhone 5s devices
Does your iPhone 5s have a really short battery life? It might be the result of a manufacturing problem.
Apple Inc. said it will be reaching out to customers who bought the iPhone 5s and are experiencing battery issues so that they can have their gadgets replaced.
“We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5s devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life,†Teresa Brewer, an Apple spokeswoman, is quoted as saying in a New York Times report.

“We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone,†the company said in the statement.
Apple did not say exactly how many of the devices are affected by the problem, but the report said that the company “implied†it is likely a few thousand.
The iPhone 5s went on sale starting at $200 with a two-year contract in late September. It launched alongside the $99 iPhone 5c.
