Robbie Williams’ L.A.-area mansion hits the right note with DJ Khaled

British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams has officially checked out of the Mulholland Estates area, selling his home in the guard-gated community to fellow musician DJ Khaled for $9.9 million.

The French Normandy-style house, custom built in 1992, was updated by Williams during his decade-plus of ownership. Within the 10,681 square feet of living space: a two-story entry with an artistic staircase, a formal dining room with a mirrored wall, a study, a gym/media room and a chef’s kitchen with a broad center island.

The master suite, one of seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, is equipped with a spa-like bath, a separate sitting room and pocketing doors that open to a balcony. An adjoining office holds a recording studio.

Outdoors are a built-in barbecue, a fireplace and a swimming pool with a waterfall feature. Views from the three-quarter-acre site take in the mountains and cityscape.

Although it is considered to be in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, complete with a 90210 ZIP Code, The Times’ Mapping L.A. database shows that the mansion sits within Sherman Oaks.

Jeff Kohl and Mauricio Umansky of the Agency held the listing. Theana “Lia†Vasdekis of Partners Trust Beverly Hills and Rayni and Branden Williams of Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer.

Williams, 42, gained fame in the 1990s as a member of the pop group Take That. He is among the bestselling musicians in Britain and has sold 70 million albums worldwide.

Khaled, a 41-year-old music producer, has collaborated with such artists as Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Birdman. In recent years, he has gained Internet fame for his inspirational and motivational posts on social media platforms.

Point Dume estate is no joke

King of insult comedians Don Rickles has put his home in Malibu on the market for $7.995 million.

The Point Dume estate, built in 1968, sits behind gates on slightly more than an acre with private beach access. A traditional-style house shares the parklike site with a lighted tennis court and a swimming pool.

The two-story home has a living room with a fireplace, a country-style kitchen, a family/media room and an office in more than 3,400 square feet of space. There are four bedrooms and five bathrooms, including a lower-level owner’s suite complete with his and hers bathrooms and closets.

Outdoors, the grounds feature multiple patios and seating areas, statues, gardens and mature trees. Views take in the surrounding canyon and ocean.

The house last changed hands in 2004 for $3.3 million, records show.

Rickles, 90, is a stand-up comedian and actor who gained fame dishing out insults on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.†The Las Vegas headliner appeared in such films as “Casino†and the “Toy Story†movies.

Actor-producer Tobey Maguire of “Spider-Man†film fame has sold his home in Santa Monica for $3.325 million, roughly 11% over the asking price.

Sited on slightly more than 8,000 square feet, the property includes a re-imagined 1920s bungalow, a separate studio and a detached garage previously used as a gym.

The Spanish-style bungalow was renovated by architect Ruben Ojeda, who added a second story and expanded the living space to more than 2,400 square feet. The house includes a formal living room, an updated kitchen, a dining area, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Large picture windows, skylights and vaulted ceilings are among the interior details.

The 1,200-square-foot studio, designed by architectural firm Koning Eizenberg, sits across the grounds and has sliding wood doors that open to a large workspace with exposed beams and polished concrete floors. Skylights and a band of windows bring natural light into the second floor.

Scott King of Compass was the listing agent.

The 41-year-old Maguire has film credits that include “The Great Gatsby†(2013) and “Seabiscuit†(2003). Last year he produced the science-fiction film “The 5th Wave.â€

His next catch may be a buyer

With his regular season having come to a close, San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is ready to tackle some business away from the field. The eight-time Pro Bowl selection and his wife, Sasha, have put their home in Hollywood Hills West back on the market at $2.5 million, down from about $3 million a year ago.

Tucked against a hillside, the remodeled contemporary-style home previously had a star turn on “Wags,†the E! reality television show on which Gates’ wife appears.

The living space of more than 4,400 square feet includes formal living and dining areas, an updated kitchen, a media room, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The master suite occupies the entire top floor and has a Juliet balcony overlooking the swimming pool and spa. There’s also an elevator servicing each floor.

Sliding glass doors open to front and rear terraces for indoor-outdoor living. A two-car garage sits off the entrance to the home.

Gates, 36, appeared in 14 games for the Chargers this year, catching 53 passes for 548 yards and seven touchdowns. He is the Chargers’ all-time record-holder for receiving yards (11,192) and touchdown catches (111) and is tied with Tony Gonzalez for the most scores by a tight end in NFL history.

He bought the house in 2013 for $1.66 million.

Turner time capsule changes hands

The View Park residence where singing duo Ike and Tina Turner once made their home has sold for $870,000.

Ike Turner, who died in 2007 at 76, purchased the midcentury-modern house in 1964 after receiving a $40,000 signing bonus from Juggy Murray, the head of Sue Records, according to the book “Tina Turner: Break Every Rule.†He and Tina Turner lived there for more than a decade before selling the property after their divorce in the late 1970s.

Built in 1956, the time-capsule-like house retains the spirit of the era with such details as multicolored tile work, flashy chandeliers and patterned wallpaper. In the family room, a rock wall fireplace is accompanied by a pond and waterfall feature, and the wet bar has a built-in fish tank.

The vintage kitchen has a breakfast nook and a pass-through that opens to the dining room. There are four bedrooms and 2.75 bathrooms, including a master suite with a step-up bed platform.

Outdoors, concrete decking surrounds a curvy swimming pool. There’s also a two-car garage.

The Turners formed the Ike & Tina Turner Revue in 1960 and scored numerous hits in the years to follow, including “Poor Fool,†“It’s Gonna Work Out Fine,†“Nutbush City Limits†and “Proud Mary.â€
