Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden lists his hip Los Feliz house at nearly $3 million
Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden has listed his Los Feliz home for sale at $2.995 million.
Built in 1965, the home epitomizes architect Craig Ellwood’s informal style of California modernism with its clean lines, perimeter hallways and walls of glass that take in views of the surrounding gardens.
Some 1,700 square feet of living space includes the living room, a dining area, a kitchen with a pass-through opening, a bonus room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Multiple decks step down to the third-acre of heavily landscaped grounds, which contain walkways, mature trees, lawn, a koi pond and outdoor living areas.
Madden, 36, got his start in high school in 1994 with the pop-rock band Kara’s Flowers. Eventually the band reemerged as Maroon 5, winning the Best New Artist Grammy in 2005. The three-time Grammy-winning band released its fifth studio album “V†last year and is on a world promotional tour throughout this year.
The musician bought the property a decade ago for $2 million. He purchased another area home earlier this year for $3.28 million, according to public records.
Aaron Kirman of John Aaroe Group is the listing agent and represented Madden in his purchase, the Multiple Listing Service shows.
