Former Facebook employee to release a tell-all book in June

We’ve read the salacious story of Facebook from Ben Mezrich’s “The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal,†and a more generous history of the company in David Kirckpatrick’s “The Facebook Effect.â€

This summer (unfortunately, after the IPO), we’ll get to read about the company from an insider’s perspective.

Katherine Losse, who logged five years working for Facebook from 2005 through 2010, is set to publish her new book “The Boy Kings: A Journey Into the Heart of the Social Network†in late June.

The book will reveal what really drives the culture of the social network and will answer “the biggest question of all: “What kind of world is Facebook trying to build, and is it a world we want to live in?†according to a news release.

Losse started in the customer service department at Facebook in 2005, (she was apparently the 51st person hired) and over time she rose to become Mark Zuckerberg’s personal writer.

The news release says she left Facebook on “friendly†terms in 2010 and is now living and writing in what we’ve heard is the coolest place in the world -- Marfa, Texas.

The “Boy Kings†is to be published by Free Press, a division of Simon & Schuster, on June 26.
