We spent a week with the 2019 Nissan Rogue SL and used it as a daily driver. We commuted to work with it, went on shopping trips with it, and did just about anything you would do in an average working week. Here are some great features that stood out during its stay with us.

1. Nissan ProPILOT Assist
The blue button on the steering wheel engages Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist. This suite of driver aid features helps to alleviate the stress of slogging through traffic by regulating the Rogue’s set speed, keeping an even distance from the car directly in front. It can do this all the way to a complete stop, while also centering itself in the lane without much input from the driver.
2. Around View Monitor
Images from several cameras distributed strategically around the Rogue are stitched together to create a bird’s eye view, displayed neatly alongside the backup camera image when shifted into reverse. The Around View Monitor allows drivers to make quick work of all kinds of parking, and helps you avoid that pesky curb or shopping cart that would otherwise be hidden in a blind spot.
3. Divide-N-Hide®
Nissan has gone above and beyond when it comes to cargo management in the Rogue. During a recent Costco run, we were able to use the clever built-in cargo separators to keep the watermelon from rolling around and not crush the fragile eggs. That’s a win in my book!
4. Panoramic Moonroof
The panoramic moonroof is a great way to brighten up your day. Whether it’s on the morning drive to the office or on your way home after work, the huge amounts of natural light it lets into the cabin instantly improves your mood. Now, if only Nissan could come up with a way to have both panels open for a convertible-like experience…
5. Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
While driving, using your voice is much safer than interacting with your infotainment screen to change the radio or input a destination. Luckily, Google Assistant and Siri are great at this. Once you plug in your phone using a USB cord, it will connect automatically. It’s that simple, S-I-M-P-L-E, simple as can be.
6. Sliding/Reclining Second Row Seats
Although I didn’t use this feature while I had the vehicle, having the ability to recline the seat back or create more rear storage space is an added benefit when you need it. It works particularly well for bulky car seats, especially if you install them facing the rear.
